NDTV India Exclusive : Black Water of Satluj in Fazilka- River Pollution

NDTV India Exclusive : Thanks to Bhagwant Mann for taking up this issue of Satluj Water pollution. Villagers living along satluj river near Fazilka area are suffering with many diseases due to heavy metal content and the presence of uranium one-and-a-half times more than the desired range. It is actually turning out to be SAJA-E-KALA Pani after independence. Graduates Welfare Association Fazilka has takeup the issue and many others from the different parts of Punjab have joined the cause. Thanks to Dr Amar Singh Azad of Rajindra Medical College, Patiala, Dr Pritpal Singh, Baba Farid Centre for Special Children, Faridkot and Sh Umendra Ji for visiting Fazilka and completed extensive research work on the same issue. Its high time, act now and save rivers of Punjab.
